Men tend to complain that women are complex and difficult to figure out, and yet men can be just as difficult when they want
to be! The reason behind this is that men actually try to hide their feelings to prevent any loss of masculinity that may
result from appearing "soft" to their friends. Having feelings that may indicate that a man has a sensitive side was traditionally
perceived as feminine rather than masculine and thus was a definite no-no for a lot of men fifty years ago. However, although
times have changed and so have the general perceptions of society, this tradition has not altered that much!
It can therefore be difficult to figure out what men are feeling unless you are an expert reader of body language. However,
with a keen eye and a little knowledge of body language, you can soon figure out what his body is saying to you even if his
mouth is saying completely the opposite!
At its most basic, reading a man's body language is about classifying his body movements into 2 categories- positive and negative.
The body language signs for a positive response are:
The body language signs for a negative response are:
Of course, there are other elements of body language that may indicate a positive or negative response but those listed above
are perhaps the most common and, more importantly, the most noticeable!
The thing to remember is that body language is not always precise. Don't take one signal alone to mean anything. For example,
if a man is moving stiffly, it may be a negative response, or it could be mean he is just sore from an injury!
Signals don't tell you exactly what a man is thinking, they just give you an indication of what he is probably thinking. The
better you get at reading the different signals, the more indication you'll have of what the man is thinking.
Reading a man's bodylanguage is a skill that can be useful in almost any situation. It may be that you are in a relationship
with the man or he may be a friend or relation and you want to find out what he thinks about a certain situation, for example.
You can read his body language signals to get unconscious information about what he is thinking or feeling. Remember, actions
speak louder than words!
